yeah ill chek when i get home,...but another suggestion,...go get a bolt and a few 25mm nuts, then tighten them against eachother to make a tool.

it isnt the best, but it will work

Don't do that, I have the factory Suzuki tool and it's only $40.00 and it has 19mm on one side and 24mm on the other side plus it has a hole for a 3/8 breaker bar.

I saw an adaptor in Cycle Gear the other day on the Motrax accesories stand.
Ok, just called Cycle Gear on Convoy St and they have 'em in stock, 24mm, 19mm or 22mm adaptors.

A craftsman spark plug socket put on an extension bar backwards works perfect for my Kawi.

This is what I use for my GSXR 750 front end
I put the bolt head in the hole and half of the center nut sticks out. I put an open ended wrench on the rest of the the center nut with the outer most nut tightened up against it and I turn the axel out. Works fine!

WOW, that's hard to believe since dealer cost is around $36.00. Why don't you post a picture of the tool you bought and a link to where you bought it.

I think the big arse allen keys are the best (I don't know where to find them, but I have seen them).

It cost me $40.00 and it has a 19mm on one side and a 24mm on the other side. It is all tig welded with a rubber grip and a hole for a 3/8" breaker bar.

yeah i totally agree, i dont mind spending money on tools, but i know there have been days where 5 bucks is pushing it, so i had to throw that out there because i know it will get the job done in a pinch

The only problem with that is if you are an anal retentive prick (me) you like to be able to torque it to specs, which you can't do with the factory tool. It is obviously higher quality than the other options, but the snap-on sockets are most likely similar build quality.

Dunno how other bikes are, but on the Yamaha, one end can be on a non-torque thingy (like the factory tool), and the other end torqued by a socket. Hrm, come to think of it, I do seem to recall that the Gixxers are not the same way. Oh well! :-p

damn straight, just head to home depot and make it for nothin, i think 20 bucks is even too steep for that tool.

I can put a torque wrench on the factory tool by either snapping it into the 3/8" drive hole or using a 19mm socket and the torque wrench. I don't care what other people use but since I do this for a living I will only use the proper tool to do the job right since you get what you pay for. Besides I don't think it would look too professional if I had a bolt with some nuts on it and was going to work on a customer’s bike.
Don't get me wrong as I like to save money where I can but I don't scrimp on tools. I will on the other hand do any motorcycle work including accident repair for a lot less then any shop will come close to.

so you use a box wrench or open end on the side that your not putting into the axle? interesting but seriously for the money the tool Scott has is the shizzle i bought a tool from ebay that will work but all it is is a 24 mm socket with a slice of a 24mm allen soldered (welded) into the socket and it goes on a 3/8 drive wrench - i got this b4 i knew Scott coule get the actual factory suzuki tool - we both paid 40 bux, now i feel like a tool, that owns some cheap tools
