Well, you can see that they really didn't want to get out and face the "tough" harley guys, or rather their wierd perception of them. Plus a lot of other guys had stopped so they prolly felt cool just takin off. But they were some of the first people on the scene...

Yes, someone please add a section about "kicking cagers' asses" to the accident scene management sticky.

Seriously, though, what planet are these people on? I especially like how the woman asked why he just did that, as if it were a conscious effort on his part to ride off the road and down the hill.

Yeah I dunno what the heck they were so worried about. The guy tried to pass on a double yellow and screwed it up. But that's Deals Gap for you.

Here's another Deals Gap accident video, you could call this target fixation also because the rider is heading right for a the big tree after he realizes the truck has crossed over:

Yeah that very scenario is the kind of stuff that scares the heck out of me.

Yes the motorcyclist was riding fast even such, it appears s/he could've completed the turn. I've been in that situation thousands of times and luckily there wasn't a semi in my lane around the next blind corner.

I don't know if it was really target fixation... he was just looking through the corner and was a little early on the apex :shifty:
