Sorry to be such a noob but what do you do at these shows? can you buy the bikes or something?
Abtin666
12-05-2006, 02:16 PM
You can buy bikes there. They have dealer set up's and everything. For the most part, you get to see all the new bikes that are comming out and also every single vendor is going to be there for all your needs. Helemts, boots, parts for bikes,You name it and they will have it there. Also, you get to see some good deals out there.
I got a pair of Pirelli'sot there last year for $220. They were also selling Ohlin's Stabilizers for about $150 less than stores.
All and all, its a great event with lots of food and don't forget the pinup girls ;o)

Went to the show on Friday and it was sick. Track Daz has a super sick deal which was 5 track days (any 5 track days of your choice) all for the super duper price of $399. 1098 was dope, the Ducati booth had all three models there for your viewing pleasure.

My first time at the show. Very nice!!! I saw the 1098 in person and let's just say it is way better in person. The hypermotard was also sweet as well as the Desmosedici. I sat on all the new bikes for 07. The 1098 is obviously the best!! :[]: The new Honda 600RR was not bad. Everything else was just OK. The new Kawi ZX6-RR felt like a tank, the pics look better than the actual bike. The Buymoto booth was very nice!! Here are some pics.

Buymoto had some great deals, i spent a little coin there..
Trackdaz got my $ for the second year in a row. It always hurts this time of year to shell out coin for the bro deal, but it saves me $ later in the year! I counted 7 trackdaz events i was going to def make, so i gotta pay for 2 more!!

I did however manage to sell the EX500 for 200 bucks, post smush.
I dont get it, its a great bike and no problems that I have heard of.
Chuck did you get a chance to sit on that RR, it was super comfy.
I also liked how the zx6r's tail was slimmer from an aesthetics only POV.
Hopefully its power will be on par with an R6.

Hopefully its power will be on par with an R6.
I didn't sit on the RR, just walked around it and gave the obligatory no thanks. When it comes to Honda I am all over the XR's, specifically the XR650.
I agree on the tail of the Kawi. I thought it looked badass. The all black one was my favorite, then the red. Hopefully their power will be there.
It just kills me that for no rhyme or reason, you can buy a 3 year old R6 that's been beat, and a mint year old Kawi for the same price.

I also noticed that while "looking" around at bikes recently.:nerd:

The 1098s still looked sick regardless of the $12K worth of accessories it had. The Kawi still felt the same but I'm glad they ditched the digital tach and went back to that analog. The new gixxer 1k only had 2 settings for it's so called "traction control". The thing felt like a Tiller when sitting on it, sucks for Suzuki.

Both Ducati booths haven't heard anything about a 848 in progress. I thought all of them were sick, even the TriColore which I originally thought was too much. Either or, that bike is bad a*s!

I'm waiting to see who's going to empty their accounts on one of those new Ducs.

I say Rich will sell his 749R and get the 1098 Tricolore. Then Bengt will buy one and say, "eh, uh huh, yes". Followed by Aaron, and then you. Then I'll get one!

I personally think that that carbon fiber ruined that bike. I think it made it look tacky and from the total look from the bike. No thanks
Chrome on a bike is tacky!! I think its a great mixture of paint and carbonfiber!!! The standard one is almost too red!! The CF breaks it up a little and accents the lines. Either way I will take any one of them:)
