View Full Version : What do you do when you get boxed in?
I parked my bike in a motorcycle parking area, took a final, came back and my bike was boxed in. Totally surrounded. Luckily, my bike is small enough so I can kinda lift and pivot it with relative ease and was BARELY able get it out, like an inch or so from touching any surrounding bikes. Maybe I might not be so fortunate in the future. What do you do when you are completely boxed in?
Push them over... J/k um try to move them?

Ohhhh ya:rolleyes:
I usually try to make sure im at least up against the curb so IF I get boxed in
just give it some gas and up I go. Luckly I just had to do it once.

If you're in PC, I heard you can go up over the curb. =) But usually I try to park all the way to the outside of the box and flip my bike around so that I can just ride off later. If you park in Gilman now, I don't think you should be able to get boxed in since it has plenty of room if you park near the edges. And a ninja 250 is safe in Gilman. =)

Like they said, you can jump the curb. If I tend to park in a "boxed in" area just to keep my bike safer. I'll ride up the handy curb and back it into a boxed in spot, so when I leave I just carefully gas it so my front wheel goes up onto the sidewalk, then with the rear end perpendicular to the curb, lift your weight off the bike and slowly give it some gas. People give me weird looks, but my bike is safer, and I don't get stuck in a parking spot. I've never had to touch another bike to get out.

I'd move whoever boxed you in. If you're boxing people in, the fact that your bike may be moved is a risk you must be willing to accept.

Exactly what he said. I've blocked people in but I left my ignition unlocked so if they had to move it they could. I'm usually gone before they are though.

+1 on moving the other bike, but I always put it back where it was after I get my bike out.

Rev the engine up to 8k and drop the clutch... Wheelie over the other bikes... Then sit back and admire your monster truck capabilities. Ride off into the sunset. :bringit:
