Is your foot sitting on the end of the peg?

If you're running 1:29's that weekend on a cold track, you must be doing it right bro.

Yea, its on the outside of the peg, not on top!!!

looks pretty good to me Aaron. I do that with my feet sometimes too. The bottom of my last pair of boots was getting a nice little whole worn in right "there"

Looks pretty damn good to me! I have the same foot position too, guess it's just comfortable and it works for me.. I just move it further back when I start dragging toe..
Is general consensus that for the inside foot this is ok? It looked strange to me when i looked at the pics. I want to get my head farther down, and for faster turns i think i get a little lower.. I also stick my knee way out till i touch then bring it in more. Im a tapper generally not a dragger. I do drag soemtimes but thats only because im too low to tap..

inside foot is good to me, and it sounds like you already know what you need to work on.

+1, everyone I know has there foot just like that, you should have a nice little hole in the bottom of your boot right under the ball of your foot:thumbsup: looking good man:bowdown:

lookin good to me aaron. i think you could even bring teh knee in more and allow more lean, you have a lot of room there before touching the toe down so you are getting your upper body off very good to keep the bike up more.

As far as something that you are doing that is putting you at greater risk of crashing or being able to execute a turn faster I think your body position is in that general parameter of right. There are so many different variables as we all know but that bike is upright and you arent pushing it into the ground, the only thing that most of us really work on is style points....and we all know that its about the styles...(insert pic of LV)
The foot positioning thing I used to do, but I have moved my foot back where my toes are kind of gripping the footpeg. It gives me clearance and still enough footing to weight the peg.
I am also trying to work on my form, but bad habits die hard...

I too have my foot like that ( I'm starting to develop a nice indent in the middle of my boot) To have your knee out like you do (something I do also) it is more natural to have your foot position like that, if not there would be a lot of stress on the ankle to get that angle of the knee while keep the foot square on the peg.
Looking good:thumbsup:
you look sexy aaron
Jeff..

you look good to me, the only problem i have with my feet other than wearing size 15 is i have worn out the spot on the sole you are talking about and i had my foot slip off a few times in turn 2 and 8.
I would say that if its not getting in the way of your lean angle, and you are the most comfortable on your bike with it in that position, then you are probably doing everything right at this point,...i wouldnt worry about it unless you think that having your foot highter up would allow for you to feel better about getting the bike over with less worry of toe drag.....
just a side note, remember chris drayyer ( sp?) his dad would go through toe sliders like crazy, and litterly destroy the toes of boots and he has won a few races to say the least.
.. good luck this year racing

That's the same exact way I stand on the peg. Maybe a little more up on my toes but whatever makes you feel like you have more control while steering the bike is a ok  . Less drag=more speed. Tap and go yo.

I am a novice at best, but in general I think you look great. The only thing that looks a little odd is your inside foot. Seems like the majority of racers I see have their ankle rotated a little more toward the ground. In other words, when you scrape your toe with your current foot position, only the tip of the slider will scrape. But if your ankle were rotated down a little more, then more of your toe slider will scrape the ground. I almost ask myself if the toe slider is designed that way for a reason. Not sure I'm explaining myself clearly. Bottom Line: If it feels comfortable and you are fast and in control --> Keep doin' what you're doin'. My .02.

Good point about rotating the ankle around. I think it would also keep my knee from sticking so far out prematurely! Thanks for the insight!

Meh, looks fine to me. You could lean the bike over more, though.
