forks/shock: 3.5K, wheels 1.5K, paint 3K????? Even if clutch was extra, that would be about 1K...

And don't forget less HP! :nutkick: :roflmao:

For the money, pony up a few more bucks, so to a GP Cycles and get a REAL limited eddition bike. Along with that, you'll get just as much usable power, a better looking bike (BTW, I'm a HUGE R1 fan), Marchesini wheels, Ohlins everything, oh yeah REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE (SCREW YOU FBC!! <-how I really feel) and you won't even have to pay some stealership $2500 to "assemble" the bike (i.e. put mirrors on, forget to tighten half the bolts, attach battery) and sit there for 4 hours just to bargain down to MSRP!

well not to ruin the post by being on topic but....the R1LE is a better deal with good components when you compare it to say a Ducati that is slightly more expensive, and a bit more high maintenance. This bike and many other bikes in my opinion are not any better or any worse than any other bike just different, and for the 8K you get what you pay for, if its what you want, then buy it no matter what the price! Its just like asking why does MV Agusta sell really expensive bikes with pretty set ups when the majority of people who buy them would crap themselves at the idea of pushing one of those bikes!
