I believe they just help provide another sliding/impact point for the bottom of your forks in case of a lowside.

so they arent spools then? i am looking to get a set of spools or a set of stands that i wouldnt even need to use spools with - found a set on tha ebizzle for 149 i think

i would like to know if you know where i could get pins like that for a Zx6r '02. my tank is held down with only one screw and it looks ugly. thanks.
