Just picked up a pair, but I dont think that they have the rear brake light tab for the switch. does anyone else know if they even come with that option?

I know they are typically race specific so its not needed but just wondering

My Rizomas came with a mount for my rear brake switch and it also had a tab on a lever so if it pulled on the switch it would light up...It is clearly different on my vortex rearsets and just wanted to know if any of them came with it.

If you've no use for your stock rear-sets, would you be willing to part with them? Thinking I'm wanting to try a different set-up on my son's NSR50.

I don't have one on my bike. Besides who the hell uses there rear brake? LOL and when I put my Brembo on, there is a good chance I won't have a brake light at all. Just a tail light.

just use a banjo pressure switch, or you would have to weld a tab. the banjo is the way to go,...i might have a few extras if you need, i would just need to check length and pitch

Some reason I can't post a link. Just google break presure switch for Vortex rear sets. A few places come up to get them. Kneedraggers has them for $20.00. Sorry about the link thing. It keeps editing my link as if it is bad language or something.

Aluminum angle stock (home depot), hole saw or stepped drill bit used for enlarging holes, some files, some sandpaper and some time you ought to be able to make a quality bracket that will hold the switch at the appropriate angle / location so that the springs may be attached to the brake lever and all function returned to stock DOT approved system.
***Not having functional safety systems on your motorcycle endangers you and others you share the road with.***

You can buy a switch from Vortex to replace your old one, I just never put one on after I replaced them. You also don't need a return spring since you have a hydralic system on your rear brake anyway. If you need a return spring on a hydralic system you would need one for your front brake too!!

that is very true, but the springs are there not for "return" but to make it harder to press the rear making it harder to lock up,...acutally you can check out some race bikes and some guys put valve springs along the rear brake MC so it requires greater and more linear effort to use the rear break and hopefully prevent lockups....

Are you really going to use your rear brake without using the front at all? Who cares about the switch on the foot lever, I almost never use it, and if I do I am squeezing the front as well.

I agree with Steve on this one. When I installed my Satos on the R6 I decided against hooking up the rear brake switch due to it being more time then it was worth.

Vortex rearsets on both bikes , have to agree with the others not worth the time and money if you really don't use the rear.

Well the only thing that I saw use for it is on a hill where I am on the rear brake. I dont really ride on the street much so its not super critical. Although 20 bucks isnt a whole lot either.

Anyone have attack rearsets???

I wanted those but got these for a steal.

I took my rear brake light switch off just so I can slow down when the cops are around without them knowing about it...
