I'm starting to examine riding positions and this looks a lil too much lean to me..is there a way to tell when you are leaning too much(besides you know..crashing)

Not too bad. Just weird looking.
BTW if you are examining body positions you should check out some of the top AMA riders. Motogp body positions almost all look alike. AMA riding styles have a bit more individuality and character. Spies has the best riding position IMO. Maybe it would suck on a GP bike, but I think his position covers the essentials the best. Trying to look like Ben in my Avatar pic. I guess I need to keep trying.....

Your position looks ok for canyon riding. Keep in mind that body positioning in the canyons and on the track can be very different.
When I ride canyons, I am going a lot slower than at the track so my body is more upright and alert at what's coming around the corner. At the track, my upper body is a lot lower and I'm more focused on speed.

Body position looks fine, and how can you have "too much lean angle" when you're not crashing?
There's no 100% 1 right way to position your body on your bike. You see Spies, then you see Miguel and they're way different.

i noticed that the AMA guys hang alot further off their bikes then the motogp guys... i think this may be also due to the fact that the motogp bikes can also lean further over than factory bikes.
there are general rules for body positioning that everyone tries to follow... like keeping your head off to the inside of your bike in a turn, scooting your butt off a little... keeping your outside arm straighter across your tank... etc.
everyone is built differently, shorter people will look different leaning off than a tall lanky guy... like for me, being only 5'7", i can't stick my knee out as far as most people, so i'm dragging peg pretty much at the same time i'm dragging knee... (hence the rearsets)
also i can't hang off as far because i can only grip myself for so much with my outside thigh before i feel like i'm gonna fall off my bike.
