Group of riders heading somewhere together and first one in line gets pulled over for speeding... Rest of the group pulls over in the emergency lane to wait for him. After first rider given a ticket, cop walks over to the rest of the group and gives them a ticket for being in the emergency lane for no reason.

If this ever happens to you, just get off the next free way exit or parking lot and regroup if you have to.

Another great way to avoid getting tickets in groups is to obey the speed limits...

As a group leader it is YOUR responsibility to maintian maturity (speeding, wheelies...basic tom foolery) under control at all times..

You shouldn't put the group into that situation to begin with!

Just a thought.

i just went with a group to the crest..

we were going 5-10 under the limit, doing nothing wrong,... they set up a road block pulled people over and started checking for lights, signals, plates etc...

then some dude crashed and they had to bail....but he pulled over 50 bikes for no reason, then was searching ever bike for things we could write up.

There is no doubt that occasionally you will just run across a jacka$$ cop but.... if your group gets caught speeding it's mainly..IMO...the leaders fault, same with pace through the twisties...don't lure slower riders into a bad situation with your abilities.

That being said....sorry about the A-hole police officer!
