Found out the reason why I'm not draggin' knee yet. Took me to pay the man to ride behind me for a session at Big Willow and film me. He also showed me the correct line, and what I was doing wrong.

Well, by looking at the video I can see that the bike is down pretty far, it's just that I'm not extending my knee out enough. However, I was very comfortable with that lean angle, and felt I probably could have gone further. Point is, no need to drag knee.

Here's a screen shot from the video: (I've got to figure out how to dub music in it and host it on the web):

Yup no need to force it. You can get your butt off the seat a bit more though. :)

dip that shoulder down get your head over by where the mirror would be, it will give you room for much more lean angle out of the bike. you were looking pretty good out there this weekend

Thanks! However, I believe you schooled us all when you stuffed everyone in about every corner with Mel on the back!

That's the right attitude...no need to drag knee...Take the advice of Jared and get your head and shoulders down towards the ground. Or pretend to try and touch your elbow with the ground. Work on body position and dont stress about the knee stuff.

Charlie is right, you dont need to force it. It will happen as you get faster in the corners. Dragging knee is kinda like a guide...most peeps bring their knee closer in once they touch cuz they know they can go lower and faster.

nocontrol, i looked for ya on sat but never found ya. i did see mario and a few others. great day to ride.

+1 to what everyone said above. also, if that's the exit of turn 4, it is a "good" spot to touch the knee down...relatively sharp, slow speed turn. turn 2 would be much more difficult cuz u gotta be moving pretty quick to generate suffient lean to touch it down. i like puttin the knee down for 2 reasons: 1) it's fun and 2) it's like having a lean angle indicator. once the knee touches i know exactly how far the bike is leaned and that gives me a bit more confidence.

cu at the next trackday, i hope.

I was the one in the back pits with the toy hauler. If I wasn't there, then I was on the track...

You can use the windows movie maker to add music to background.
