Ive been out of the motorcycle loophole for about 3-4 years. I just picked up a new 07 CBR 1000RR which came with Bridgestone BT015s i believe. Im thinking of replacing them for Dunlop 208GPs, plus im not a big fan of 190s in the rear on the stock tires. Have there been any major changes or new tires out that are as good as the 208GPs at a cheaper cost?

You may want to stick to a 190. A 1000 makes alot of power for a 190 to put down. I used to use a 180 when i had my 1k, but that was a while ago...

dont go with the 180s any more now that everyone makes 190-55's get some power race 190-55 and you should be good to go,...let me know if you want any info, ive had a cbr1000rr for 3 years now and have messed around with just about everything on it

power race's are really nice and stick like crazy,... people are running 19-29 at the track to 24-31 for psi cold...

the tires are extremely stiff, and require a setup similar to dunlops for compression and rebound, but closer to the supersorsa's in terms of profile/ geometry..

after running the racetec tires last weekend i prefer the power race tires.
