Shot in the dark here, but my fiance's car just got stolen around 4:00pm from Mission Beach area. If you happen to see it, please call police. Don't confront anybody, cause it's just a damn cage.

1998 White Acura Integra
Black dog collar around rear-view mirror with circular tag hanging off it.
Should have broken window since she said there's glass where the car was.
Tag #RV0613

Thanks guys. I'm sure it's in Mexico by now, but it's worth a shot. :(

damn sux Bill! Hope you g/f has full coverage insurance. I own a '94 Acura Integra and there is way to break into them w/out shattering the glass. :silenced: Last year, the Acura Integra was the #1 stolen car in southern California.

I left the wrong tag # earlier, but it don't matta. Got a call 2-3 hours after the car was stolen and the police found it totally stripped. When I say totally stripped I mean wheels, seats, THE FREAKIN ENGINE!!!!!! STRIPPED! In less than three hours!!!

Obviously was pros. But that still blows my mind. I haven't seen it yet, but the guys with the tow company said they haven't seen one torn that far down in a long time. How in the hell can you remove an engine and still have time to take everything else in under 3 hours?

I've seen a motor swap take a half a day so those thieves definitely knew what they were doing. At least she got's full coverage so she can get a new car.

yeah I was talking about one person doing a motorswap. Two or more people and a cherry picker it can be done in 30 mins; tranny, ECU and all!

That's crazy. I guess you can work faster if you're just cutting wires and hoses instead of removing them properly. My fiance is gonna go look at the car today and I made her promise to take pics, so I'll post 'em up.

Now how do I talk her into taking the bus to work and using the insurance settlement for down payment on a 749??? Or maybe an RS250!!!!!

no, you don't even have to cut any wires, all plugs! If she has a good ins carrier, she should get rent-a-car service until she gets paided out. But a 749 or even a 748 wouldn't be a bad idea either!

Get an autolock. Unless they tow your car away, it is near impossible for them to steal it by driving it away. It's the one that goes on your brake pedal for auto's and on cluth for stick. You can even get $2,500 from the autolock company if your car gets stolen with one on it.

As far as ripping the motor out...Arnold's right. The mounts, and a few plugs and that thing is out in 1 piece. I had a 91 Integra and took the motor out 4 times. It's not that hard and does not take that long if you have the right tools.

Rent-a-car insurance is extra with USAA and she didn't sign up for it. So we're screwed untill we buy a new car. We'll figure somethin out. :)

Yeah...but how many punk-ass boosts have liquid nitrogen?

Besides...the hacksaw won't cut the Club....it's for the steering wheel to get the club off and toss out the window

i have access to liquid nitrogen

and all it take for the club is 5 seconds in a foot. just place a bar on the hook end, then place your foot on the bar and pull on the handel, it sould snap off with ease. only takes as long at it does to get your foot up there

problem with that is that you risk kicking the horn...but good idea

good point, but ive done it without kicking the horn.

edit: buddie lost his keys, so we had to figure out a way and cutting the wheel was not an option. with the pry bar, it snapped like a toothpik

Freon(R12) or R134a works just as good!
