Hyperpro Steering damper leaking....

Ok, it has finally happened......my hyperpro damper is leaking. i bought it brand new off ebay and was told it was the newer modle that did not leak, but obvioulsy after several months of use it is starting to leak oil out the right side. so i was told that Hyperpro will rebuild them with the new internal components, which will not leak, for free. is this true and has anyone had this done? if you do have it done, what is the turn around time on this? basically i'm just looking for any info i can from anyone that dealt with this issue. i was hoping to avoid it by buying the newer model that did not leak, but oh well it happens. and i dont have the money to just buy another brand so that is why i am asking about the rebuild. thanks for any help you guys can give :cheers:

You might be able to buy a rebuild kit from Hyperpro. Might as well try doing it yourself if you don't got the money but you'll need new seals for sure I believe.

I have a friend with one down here and his has leaked and leaked and leaked. It's supposed to be the new ones also. Then again, another buddy has one along with Stroble I believe and they have had no problems, who knows...

yeah me and shaggy bought it from the same guy on ebay, cause he had like 5 for sale. shaggy has not had a problem with his...:errf:
