Wow! Great day!
I just wish more Hypercyclers could have made it out.
That was a real eye opening experience. It gave me a glimpse of how gnarly the riders are that do well there. Fast, faast, faaast!!

Bryant and Jae were of course looking awesome representin in the race group. It was nice to see Errol and Mike looking real comfortable and passing me at will by mid-day. Good job guys keeping it upright, smooth and within limits.

It was no surprise that Shaggy would be flying as soon as he learned the track. Jason’s natural ability is really amazing. I’m sure he’ll share the video with everyone soon, but he pulled off a crazy tank slapper at well over 100 mph coming out of turn 9. You can see on his video, the clip-ons going lock-to-lock 4-5 times!!! Any mortal would have been tossed. Absolute craziness, beleeev dat!!!

I watched someone in front of me go wide on a 954 in turn 8 and eat it at over 100 mph. I was getting shelled by the rocks and debris that were flying everywhere… Lost my nerve after that and just took it real easy. Thankfully, the rider was unhurt, needless to say the bike was a loss. Never seen anything quite like that before…

Turn 1 and 2 were my favorite parts of the track. You go down the front straight and completely top your bike out… WFO (wide frickn open)… then you’ll hear that little voice in your head that whispers, “BRAKE NOW FOO, OR YOU GON DIE!!!!!!!!” Grab all the brake you can, drop two gears, relax your jaw, breathe again and throw it left into turn 1. Turn 2 is a long righty (yep, get used to them) where you can drag knee all day if you want, but really not necessary. It’s a fun, long, fast, constant radius turn that let’s you figure out how to hang off if that’s your thing…

Hats off to Dustin and his crew at TrackDaz for yet another well run event.

Arnold and Sean, you guys were missed, sorry you couldn’t make it. :errf:

I’d really like to see Allan on this track, I think he’d feel right at home there ;)

Thanks for a great day everyone! Splendid company, super fun, very educational and humbling.
Good stuff!!

actually I think I did shiet my pants...It really was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me. My heart was racing for the next half hour till it was time to go back out but believe me I didn't go through turn 9 nearly that fast again for the rest of the day. After lunch I really stepped it back a little and worked on my lines, wish I had the tire left to push the pace a little more but 1:33's-34's were the best I could muster...

Thanks for the awesome fun day at the track Dustin! Had a great time.. it's so good to be back out there after such a long time away. Were you breaking-in your bike at the track?

PPS Forks + Ohlins shock = FAST heheh.. that's always been a choice combination right there. :headbang:
