The few that know me have seen my beat up baby. The parts have come in! I need some help putting the fairing stay and headlight in. I have no tools and no bike maintainence history under my belt.

Anyone have some time maybe tonight/tomorrow to help me out? I really appreciate it!

yoyo, i got my brand new fairing stay on ebay for $165 shipped. Kinda high. I got my headlight assembly on r6messagenet for $90 shipped. That was a steal. The guy included some sweet ultra white bulbs too.

BILL THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HELP! MY BABY IS BEAUTIFUL AGAIN!! That rattle/squeaking we heard is still there. I'm not sure exactly where it is coming from, I'll do more riding to be sure. Lemme know if you have time to troubleshoot dude. No hurry at all.

Sean, sorry we missed you dude. I didnt check the board before I left.

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

edit: aw, totally forgot about the isle of man cd's. oh well another time. Thanks again neezy!

Hey if you guys ever want to have a maintenance day, our place is free. Have the room and some tools and probably always going to have something that we would like to do on our bikes. Need to learn how to adjust the valves and do a carb sync soon, anyone up for it? =)

definately have the room, have a surround sound stereo wired up in the garage, and the tools are like multiplying in the garage while i sleep

got an air compressor (no pneumatic tools yet but i got the basic stuff for it) got a creeper and stool with wheels so you dont have to sit on the ground (BONUS!) and a few other trinkets including the tool to remove the front wheel of certain gixxers (24mm allen key) - still trying to figure out the sizes for the rear axle nut and front for hers so i can get a breaker bar and the sockets for it - also i am going to purchase and assortment or lubes and oils from buymoto to have on hand in case someone forgets to bring thier oil for an oil change lol (ok i laugh but we went to a maint. day from her 250 group and we didnt bring any and we wanted to change the oil =P)

edit:a bit off topic sorry

Sorry Sean, didn't see your post last night. I think I heard you rolling up to your house last night. Should'a looked. I got Alpinestars Track Pants from BuyMoto.com (http://www.buymoto.com).

Glad we got everything back together and looking good fo sheez. Dude, I forgot about the video. I even set it out so I wouldn't forget. Sorry it took so long, but like I said, I usually work slower than most, especially on other people's bikes.

We'll see if we can figure that rattle this-weekend. When you were revving it in the garage I was mostly listening for the door and my screaming fiance saying "what are you guys doing??? It's eleven thirty!!!" :-p j/k

I bought a fairing stay on the R6 forum for $100 shipped. Also got stock-clip-ons from another user on the forum for $65 shipped. Best to find guys that are parting out their bikes to race, then people making upgrades. What do you need? I have some parts left over that I'd be willing to give to HyperCyclists for free: right side clip-on; bent lef side clip-on (should probably go in the trash); broken fairing stay (could be welded together, but I will probably trash this soon, too); complete right side rearset; left side rearset with snapped peg and bent shifter.

So I rode around today to enjoy my "new" baby. I figured out that the rattling was coming from that handlebar mirror. lol. I guess it'll have to come off. The mirror was shaking and rotating around. SO MY BIKE IS OPERATING PERFECTLY!
