Just kicking around the idea and wanted to know if you fugger might be down...

Havent researched it fully yet, but I think if people are into it and want to pool some funds together it might just be the biggest blast ever...I know jiggy did it and survived so Im sure he can shed some light...Thinking WERA but Im open to an AFMer....lets just see where this goes.

I did the 4 hour race with AFM at Sear's and it rocked! We only had 2 riders and one pit *****. You can do it that way, but the best way is to have 4 riders and as many people that are willing to help. I'd be down to do it again. I would like to do a class that we could be competitive in. The 600 class would be fun and I think we could get a top 10 finish in our class out of 30+ riders, but if we wanted to get on the podium (which Techman doesn't know any other way) then I think we should think about another class.

We can use my bike, but would need to kick down a little each for the motor?

I did the same 4 hour at Infineon as Jiggy and it was a ton of fun. We only used 1 set of medium compound Michelins on a GSXR 750 and finished 6th in our class. 4 riders is probably the best bet with a 2-3 wrench hands to help with fueling (afm only allowed 4 people across the wall at a time). I dont think you'd def need a new motor if you dont torch it, but a freshen up afterwards wouldnt hurt. Make sure you plan out who pays for what if someone goes down.

I would suggest you guys start doing Solo races at WSMC or WERA. Go to Pahrump for no session trackdays so you can ride till you can't ride no more. With a sessions format track day if you get in good, you can get them to let you ride all groups but the problem is keeping a good pace with the "C" groups and being repectful of passing rules. I would feel pretty bad if a C group rider got freaked out about me blowing by and then had a less than wonderful track experience.

we have been doing the control riding with Ti2TT for awhile so we have got to consistently log a lot of miles at each of the track days. we have not done any 2 hr straight stints or anything but yeah.....it will be more difficult.

i am voting for vegas because having to go all the way to utah will just be that much more difficult and expensive.

I wasn't in shape at all, hadn't been on the track in over a year and I did almost an 1.5 hours before I came in. When you are out there, it hurts, but it is soooooo much fun you power through it. Also having someone on pit wall with a white board giving you supportive messages really helps!
