Yeah, we got 12 tubs of axle grease coming in sometime this week. Also have tons of Motul 5100 Synthetic Blend oil in 10w40 and 15w50 at over 33% off retail! ;) We got K&N Oil filters for your bike too in stock for $10.79/ea.

Tub o' grease.. coming your way. ;) You are correct, Motul 5100 is not a full synthetic. I guess you can call it a semi-synth oil. I like Motul 5100... pretty much when I did the stocking order for parts/accessories with our distributors, I stocked almost everything that I know and trust and have used before. This particular oil was actually recommended to me by Tom Houseworth as he says he used to use this same oil in the Factory Yamaha race bikes when he was crew chief for that team. Never had an engine failure as a result of using this oil. They do a teardown of their motors after ever race (including daytona) and he's never seen anything damaged on the engine parts while using Motul 3100 (now known as 5100). We can get pretty much anything you want at very good prices. K&N are good filters and very convenient to use cuz you can use a socket to take them on and off unlike the stock filters... they are also ready for safety-wiring as well which is even better. The only other filter I would really recommend is buying a stock filter like those Denso oil filters, etc. I think they cost about the same as the K&N filters?

outstanding well i cant find the other filter i was looking at yesterday but it was supposedly a lifetime filter you could like take it apart and clean it and it supposedly filtered down to 20 microns or it might have been smaller cant remember it said it filtered better than paper and was better at cold starts since paper needs to warm up a little b4 it actually flows thru smoothly so if it isnt warm it triggers a bypass valve and unfiltered oil is allowed into the engine until the filter starts flowing

lemme know when i can pick up my tub =)

I think I know what u are talking about. One of my racing buddies used one in his Triumph... his filter actually failed and dumped all his oil into his oil pan/rear wheel, boots, etc. He nearly crashed his bike that day at California Speedway but somehow was able to pull it off track and get it stopped. It was pretty bad... Could just be a fluke though. ;) Never seen anyone else use it so can't really give a good unbiased opinion of those filters.

Quit fighting it :hammer:, your're hearing the best advice you can get right from the horses mouth ;) And to top it all off the advice is FREE!
K&N or OEM, none others!
EDIT* forgot to add, for gixxer specific stuff don't forget to look around other sites. Not that I wanna drive you away from here, but a lot of the times you can get downloads of tech manuals and stuff on other sites for FREE. Try gixxer.com and look around and do searches and I am sure you'll find the stuff you are looking around for, free.

Dude that thing is like 120 bucks.

You must be blingin, yo. Can't you think of 50 things you'd rather buy than that. I was looking at them before, but there's many other things higher on the list.

yea, other oil filters like Fram n stuff are made out of really cheap materials, so I figure they don't filter as much crap out.
