So, today's weather went from beautiful to ridiculously cold. Since there's no overnight parking in Gilman Parking Structure (I got a citation last week! BOO!), I have to keep my bike outside. Because of the cold, I thought it'd rain, so I thought I should make a home-made bike cover just for the next few days!
Here are the results! Why would I go for the $30 Cover with waterproof lining when I can have this beautiful cover made from 3 garbage bags and 20 feet of packaging tape? :roflmao:

That black primered ancient ride next to yours still has a Saddleback frame around the license plate.
If that doesn't date it, I don't know what does (aside from the gawd-awful lines on the tail section...WTF is it?)!!

yep..... parked right next to mine with a $30 cover. hahahahahaha. my cover isnt all that great either. It protects it fairly well from the rain, but regardless of weather it makes my bike sooooooooooo dirty all the time. kinda laaaame

Have you hosed the insides out recently?
Is the dirt getting through the cover?

Really lame that you can't park overnight in gilman. It's the only covered motorcycle spot on campus. What's the reason for not being able to park there overnight?
Good job on the bike cover. :)

nah. tough to hose anything down since i live on campus. Really thinking about buying a hose and just tapping into one of the faucets on campus tho. maybe after the rain.

on another note, if you guys need free hosing down, there's a free access to "residents" in the renaissance (behind utc across the street from the villas).

Haha Nice! Just make sure you don't put it on when the bike is hot. That "cover" will be permanently on there :-p
