Hey all,
The summer heat kills... but riding unprotected kills as well (and literally.)
I have a riding jacket (leather) and it gets really hot at stop lights. I'm considering purchasing some kind of armor vests like this one:

Have any one tried the EVS, or A-star, Dainese, 661 etc. armor vests? What do you guys think?
or any suggestions to stay protected while not burning and melting at the stop lights?
Thanks!

I bought this jacket in black and it's the coolest (as in temperature) jacket I've ever owned. I love it. It's leather fully perforated and air just goes right through it! Got it last year for the summer season and it worked great!

I've got Dainese....kinda like the EVS from the shortcut you provided.
I've got no complaints...it's Dainese!

My standard response: "Sweating is better than regrowing skin."
That's what I do, because I'm a cheapskate and don't really mind being hot as hell. Just douse yourself with water before you ride, and you'll stay cool for a good while. Doesn't always work if you have to dress nicely at work, but leave a change of clothes there!
I have a Thor suit like the one you posted. I like that it has a kidney belt, as many i see don't have it. With the thor your could wear a large shirt or jersey over it. Just another option. :)

+1
My jacket goes where ever I go, no matter how hot. I don't trust the mesh stuff. Leather or GTFO.

Perf leather jacket or 1 piece. end of story. if it's too hot for that, it's too hot to ride (and it's never too hot to ride)
