Ok so I'll explain the full on story of what happened.

As me and the driver left my friends house him and his passengers went ahead. I caught up to them a few lights down and followed right behind them for a bit and decided to pass them up and go on ahead. As I pass and go on ahead of them I come to a stop light that wasn't working "T intersection" area was barely lit and saw a stop sign and so I stoped. To my left were workers or something I don't remember what they did but right when I was getting ready to go next thing I know I fly up through the air and land a hard hit on the asphault and get a sharp pain on my lower back. I see my bike laying 400-600 ft. from me and I was near the stop sign. I look on the car that hit me and he stops for a few seconds and takes off. The workers come running to me asking me if I was alright etc. and was helped up off the street. Police come and do there thing and I call my friend to tell her to come over. Ambulance urged me to take me to the hospital but I told them I'll be alright and I'll have my friend take me. Later on the afternoon I got a chance to talk to the driver him self and his story was that he did not see me and that he was under the influence and was caught for DUI in the past and the fact that he had warrants on him and has a weapon so that's why he took off. I told him the fact that you took off made things alot worst than what it already was. I felt somewhat bad and not trying to be a **** head but all in all everyone says take care of your self and do what you gotta do.

I had a good idea where that car came from and I asked my buddy who they were cause the driver ended up calling my buddy and saying I hit your friend that was on a motorcycle. He says to my buddy he didnt see me and that he had ganja, weapons and was drunk with warrants on him so he was scared and left. In my head I thought to my self that was the worst thing you can possibly do compared to being caught with whatever you have. I got checked out at a near by hospital and ends up me getting a big bruise and thats about it thank goodness. Later on the day I got the guys policy # and all necessary info.

Maybe I don't understand the full story. So you did not tell the police that you know who hit you?

Not talking about insurance, I'm talking about police. Did you tell the police this information? Yes or no.

for reals though, talk about that bike being bad luck though man. i was talking to jeff a couple months ago about that bike man. if it's totalled, the front might still be good right? a buddy of mine went down at the track with the same bike as you i believe and could prolly use some of it.

You just got finished saying that he admitted hitting you, then leaving your for dead in the middle of the street. What is it exactly that you weren't sure of, where your spine is supposed to be?

So this piece of **** with warrants for his arrest and previous DUI's is driving around drunk as hell with drugs and guns in the car and commits felony hit and run by ramming into a stopped motorcycle and you do nothing so he can go do it again tomorrow? Do you think he's going to stop doing this or something? Do you think he has any value for anyone elses life? He'd rather let you bleed to death alone in the street than be inconvenienced by a little jail time. Do you even understand that you're lucky to be alive?

As someone who rides every day, has friends and family who ride, and appreciates the value of other peoples lives, THANKS A LOT BUDDY!!!

If that pos runs over a 3 year old girl next week it's going to haunt you for the rest of your life and it should because some of that blood will be on your hands. Maybe every time you hear about a hit and run on tv or the internet you can wonder if it was the guy you let go do it again.

Be a man and do the right thing. Be a man and do the right thing. If you're too scared just give me the information you have and I'll call the police.

I can't be the only one thinking this!?!?!?

Forgot to say that I'm glad you're OK. And maybe I'm wrong and he will never kill anybody.

R600cc, first and most importantly, I'm glad to hear that you made it okay. You and everyone on here knows that you made it out very, very lucky.

I totally agree with Bill. Take it from someone who has dealt with a few DUI drivers in his past. What that guy did, friend or no friend, is a FELONY! I'm not saying go out and kill the guy but this guy definitely needs some help. Sometimes facing the consequence straightens a person up. Either way, he still has to face the consequence.

What if it was one of your loved ones? They could be the next victim and they might not be as lucky.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) but that's just my $0.02.

Whoa, what a bizarre story with an even odder outcome!

Your life could have been in jeopardy and you're lucky to be alive, yet alone able to walk away!! Give me the info and I'll reported! Just say that I was one of the workers!

BTW, you need to pick some better friends!

Well said Millan.. well said. R600cc.. no matter what the reason may be for not reporting him, you have a very serious and very real responsibility to do the right thing here for all of our sakes... especially for his past victims and even including that guy that hit you. Sometimes "friends" may pressure you into turning a blind eye or "protecting" someone who's done some pretty stupid things... but by doing so, you will be victimizing all of us and perhaps even be putting an expiration date on this guy's life as well. I understand the whole being a good friend thing but we all have to DRAW THE LINE somewhere. It can be difficult to do but it's the RIGHT thing to do.

I really like ^this^ guy.

I couldn't agree more with him, Millan, Lin and the others. Since I do a lot of road cycling now, I'm even more afraid of dumbasses like this. Please do us all a favor and get this numb nuts off the street.

It's great to hear you going in the right direction. As a Hypercycles member, we are all glad to hear you are okay. We are also proud to see our members do the right thing.

Now it is also our custom to help those members in need. So, if you might need some help, may I be one of the first to say...

"R600cc, drop me a PM if you might need some help."

If I cannot personally be of any help to you, I can possibly point you in the right direction (that goes to everyone).

Saw your pics of yer bike. Once again, glad you're walkin' and talkin'.

Your lawyer will probably tell you the same but make sure you take pictures of any injuries to yourself as soon as you can.
