Looking for info on these ($175) before taking the plunge on a $500 set of Woodcraft or Chickenhawk Warmers. Anyone have any feedback?

Tyrsox was a pioneer in the motorcycle tire warming industry. I've used them a few times in the late 90's.. and looks like they have done very little if anything to improve upon their original design.

Here are my low cost opinions:

Go Chickenhawk. :) The woodcraft ones look pretty similar to Chickenhawk as well.
.
.
1. The heating elements tend to burn through the warmer easily especially if you leave the warmers plugged in while they are not on the tires (u should not do this with any other warmer anyway but Tyrsox are especially weak in this sense). If you go with these or any other tire warmer, be careful not to fold them when they are off the tire as this is an easy way to get burn-through on the warmer material.
2. I've seen these puppies smoke and even catch on fire.
3. I've seen these warmers blister the rubber on a tire from overheating.

Yeah, no thanks. Thanks for the info B! Now I'm looking into these...nothing but positive reviews that I've found so far and only $250:
