I've been really interested in the scorpion exo-400. One question I had was, is there any difference between the exo 400 and 700 besides the material it is made out of? Also I know that HJC is a really popular brand however I haven't read too many reviews on HJC helmets. From what I have read, it seems like the exo 400 is the best bang for its buck. so between a exo-400 and a HJC helmet for example the cl-sp, which do you think is the better option?
Buy the one that fits you best.

+1
But from my experience (cl-sp, cl-15, exo-700) the scorpion is made of better materials and feels more solid. The HJCs weren't bad, and they got the job done of protecting my head (i tested the cl-sp :squid:) but after I got my exo-700 I don't know if I'd ever go back to HJC.

Scorpions are a tad lighter than HJC because they are made of a lighter material than plastic. Padding is more cush, better venting and air diffusion.
From my experience at House of Motorcycles, Scorpion helmets fit almost ANY oval/round/narrow shaped head, and has sizes up to XXXL. It's a great brand all around.
HJC will do the job, but the padding will feel like styrofoam after a long time and the visor+ear pods need replacement.
I actually want the Scorprion EXO1000 with the built in visor. woo!
