I live in the costa Verde Towers in La Jolla which has 5 floors of undergorund parking. On my way down today to where i park my bike i usually make right turns as tight and close to the wall as possible because some cars like to drive fast and like to cross over when making lefts to get out of the parking garage. Well today some jerkoff was speeding up and made a left turn crossing way into my side. Even with me 2 feet from the right hand wall this guy was in my way. Luckily i was able to stop in time but since the ground is at an angle i was't able to keep my bike right up and ended up gently laying it down on it's side (yea i saw it comin and knew i couldn't stop it so i gently layed it on it's side.).

The thing that made me really mad was that as soon as he saw me start to lose my balence he drove off...immediatly. I wouldn't have been mad if he got out and asked if i was okay or anything. There are no damges to my bike besides scratches that were already there. I picked her back up parked her but still....be careful guys, even when doing things as safe as possible there's always idiots who like to cut corners (literally).

that sucks glad you didn't get hit, was it a person from your complex? If you can find their car i'm sure you can say something to management about it.

Be careful when parking your bike in Costa Verde parking complex. That area is notorious for motorcycle theft.

Sancta, sorry to hear about that dude. Costa Verde has a long history of bike theft and vandalism even with cars as well. You do have full coverage for your insurance right?

yea, im covered in caset of theft, fire, and stuff like that. But i have a corner parking spot on the 4th underground parking floor. So i park my bike in the corner and park my car in front of it. I figure that'll deter the theifs to go after the 5 choppers just sitting there on the other side and leave my baby alone.

I also live in Costa Verde, I live in the South Complex the one closest to McDonald. Luckily there aren't much "ricer" or die hard car fan in the G2 floor but a bunch of grad students.
