Hi guys, here are some sample logos I made for the club. Hopefully, we can collectively choose a good logo and use that on our decals/shirts/caps/etc. If you have some designs you would like to submit, please post them here. Thanks!

Yeah, I tried to put the text on top and still not lose the bar across but I couldn't find a good way... the one with white inverted on black is pretty good.
Also, please note that we CAN use 2 logos (for example, one with the text and the other with just a symbol) so we are not limited in anyway.

ok I kind of like the first one. but I feel its a little generic, but its simple and it works. I dont like how the LE merges into eachother....I hope this is taken as constructive critisism and not defensively or negatively in any way. I wish I had an alternate idea right now, but I will search later. :)

but the logo shouldnt have to rely on color
Sean is right about the color. The logo needs to work in just plain black and white. This will make it easier to transfer on various mediums (decals/tshirts/etc).
I'm kinda new to Hypercycles. What did the old logo look like?
do we want some sort of motorcycle figure merged into it?
I believe it had a silhouette of a motorcycle rider (similar to the one being used at SocalSV) leaning against the Hypercycles text. Something like that. But it is time for a new logo anyway to signal our 'rebirth'.

The last design we had was done by Marc (Ikazuchi). Perhaps when he gets a chance he might offer some fresh logos to consider as well. :)

cool... glad you guys like the idea. it really was just a quick doodle. I could do more if you like.
I like the idea of incorporating an silhouette of a motorcycle in the image (like the one you have). But I'd like to see the image and the text 'flow' together - as if they were one graphic instead of two. Don't put too much time into it if it is difficult to do. I'm not very good at using paths/vectors so I'm curious to see what a skilled user can do. :)

are you picky about the chosen font? obviously it needs to be easy to read. but out side of that any particular style? I see you have stuck with the basics so far....

does anyone see that rear wheel as a C?
I like the bike, but can we put it some other places...I dotn know...I really like the bike, but it seems too heavy on the left...
No, no fon't choice in particular. I guess GP was saying what I was thinking all along. The bike is really cool, but the rear wheel makes it look like a 'C'. I guess if there is a good way to incorporate the 'C' with the 'H' in Hypercycles then is would look like the two pieces fit together. ???

I like the font on the 4th one the best. It looks cleaner IMO.
I agree on the wheels looking almost too abstract in the figure though.

I am trying to figure out a good way to do that. The only problem is getting the "Y" to fit into the design of the bike. Working on it tho.

i REALLY LIKED TE4H VERY FIRST ONE....
and the ones earlier on this page... the C's in HYPERCYCLES being spaced out like the wheels on that bike... GREAT IDEA GREAT GRETA GREAT!~

BUMP: Okie folks! If anyone's got any additional logos or t-shirt designs they'd like to submit here please do so as soon as possible. I will be submitting several designs to our screen printing guru within the next week or so.
Regarding Hypercycles logos.. might be best to include .ORG in the logos if possible... or any other creative way of letting folks know where to find us on the internet would work too. :headbang:

Damn..wish I saw this thread earlier...
Maybe I can incorporate the bike pic that is left over from the BuyMoto logo design.

Hey guys... here is one of my submissions. I actually did this image a while back when jeremy from SCS wanted to make some stickers. He didn't end up using them, so I thought you guys might like it. I took the first logo from this page (jae's) and put it on the bottom because I thought it looked pretty appropriate. ;)

keep in mind while designing that the fewer the colors the cheaper it is to print either stickers or shirts...
probably want to keep it down to two or three colors max...that includes half-tones.
:) I couldn't think of anything else... lol
without the half-tones. :(

Hey everyone, please feel free to submit any example for our Hypercycles T-shirt logos and stickers. I will get quotes for all and figure out how much we can afford. Tony, Randizzle... awesome work with those images you put together.
Also, if you guys could, please send me the raw files for your masterpieces so that I can put them together when I hand your submissions to our t-shirt dude. :)

Marc's worked really hard as a favor to Hypercycles to get these logos made and other logos in the past done for us as well so let's give him a little more respect. I know you were just kidding around but let's give Ikazuchi a little more breathing room for his efforts at the very least! He's been pretty stressed at work today too so BE NICE!

Just the RAW image file will be good... Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop.. either works. jpg, gif.. that works too. Larger the better i guess.. i can always resize them or have our printing dude do it for us.
