Posted for Sean.. Well actually he posted this on another site so here is his write-up..

Well lets just say that practice was good on Saturday. Nothing special, but lapped practice in the 28s with wind, so I thought I was in the right ball park to go 26s again at least. I was in pretty good spirits before my race and felt ok...was still having this front tire tear issue. It wasn't cold tearing, and honestly I haven't quite figured it out yet. I was having a lot of problems in 2 with my front end and just need to see if I make a couple adjustments next time to see if I can free up some time.
Conditions were perfect to go best time and I felt good...felt something going on with the bike during warm up but just thought it was cold and the bike was fully operating perfect yet, but as I rolled my warm up lap for 600 superstock I felt my clutch go....it was just spinning up everywhere and it wasn't pulling for nothing....so I decided to exit the track and not take my grid position. I was so pissed because the weather was perfect and I was facking fired up to go....pretty frustrating to spend all this money to fricking not have a chance to race.
I wasn't able to get too much more slack on the clutch cable so I luckily was able to get Jodi from Lee's Cycle (Jeremy Toye's Mechanic) to adjust the slipper clutch as they may have worn down too much. I took his word for it and I went to go try again for race 7 600 Modified Production.
On the warm up lap it felt pretty good and was slipping, so I felt pretty confident. After the first lap which was pretty miserable...went backwards after a teammate passed me in T2....my bike cut out going over the backside of 6....nothing, no power or anything....I got off the race line and looked to see if I was smoking cause it felt like the motor just let go....

Luckily it didn't and I just tried to limp it in of my momentum. I went off the track between 8 and 9 and pushed it the rest of the way to the wall....

It threw an FI light so I know I could get the error code if I jumped the connector....well turns out that I blew a fuel pump relay...luckily Jodi knew the error code and told me to just swap it with the headlight relay...

****ing su-suck-I

Well after both race debacles....I kind of wasn't in the mood to deal with it anymore, but didn't want to go home as if I didn't try either. I wasn't planning on racing until I got the you are being a Vagina speech from everyone...and decided to sign up for race 16 during race 13...
Had just enough time to put the bike on warmers and that was about it. I just had to get out there and give it a shakedown...some sort of redemption...Well the highlight of my race was late braking Chris Duran into T3 on the outside...

After getting ****ed out of a good drive from 9 I got hosed my Duran and immediately lost touch. I just couldn't get my bike to turn with the wind in T2 and T9. Excuses...but I think with a different geometry set up and having a clear head I would have not ridden like such a douche. Pretty much just ran 27s throughout the race...a disappointment for sure. Finished with a solid 4th and would have gotten a podium if Attack's Argentinian ringer was there...I am hoping to run a lot faster next time.
Big thanks to Lee's Cycles to help me out and get my slow ass back out there.

To da boyz.... I\/I
