Finally getting around to changing my oil / oil filter on my kawi 250, but had 2 quick questions -
Oil: From what I read on the other thread, go with Mobil 1 oil specific for motorbikes [10w-40 is what my manual says] - Kinda expensive, is it worth it?
Oil Filter: I poked around online and Fram has had a few complaints, so should I just go over to the kawi dealer and get an OEM filter, or some other brand, or does it even matter?

Thanks!

I used to use Mobil 1 motorcycle oil. I loved it and my bike revved REAL quick. Then I got some Motul 5100 synth-blend from buymoto.com (http://www.buymoto.com) and I'll probably never go back.

Bike revs *slightly* slower, but my gearbox is so much smoother. Used to clunk and grind, now it's like butter. I love the stuff. I guess it's more important to me to keep the gearbox in good shape, cuz when they have problems, it's serious stuff.

Oh yeah, get the Motul from Buymoto cuz it's cheap as fugg there. They got the K&N filters, too. They're a little more expensive, but are supposed to be better. I love 'em cause they have a nut welded on the end so you can torque it down properly. :D

i agree with Philo use the Motul5100 from buymoto.com and go with the K&N filter if they make it for your bike if not we put a STP into Liz's 250 picked it up at autozone i think its the M012 or something to that effect
