Anyone want 2001 GSX-R1000 parts...






Like say... the whole crashed bike for a $1000?


I realize that there isn't a huge demand for 2001 Gixta Thow Pow parts seeing how I'm prolly one of the last people to total the bike. Just thought I would offer it up and see if anyone is interested.

Sasha... wanna move this to the classifieds section or what not (Sorry, didn't think about it before I posted).

pics, descrip of why bike is totalled? Or whatever. Although I figure if it was worth fixing, you'd be doing it already right? I've sold quite a bit of stuff on Ebay. So, if it comes to parting it out, you'll prob do OK.

Dammit ian. What happened to racing.
Well my car died on me and I was forced to ride my bike every day. Racing is on hold for now :cry: It's really the only thing I want to do in life, so I'll get to it as soon as the money comes around.

Liability only... I don't think the bike was worth much in the first place anyways though. I was wearing jeans and slipon shoes (:squid:) and an A* Stage Jacket (which saved most of my skin) and A* gloves (which held up amazingly well). I also was wearing an Ogio backpack which didn't hold up too well cause the whole time I was sliding I was trying to maneuver onto it. Fortunately/Unfortunately my work laptop was in it and I hit a curb backwards and busted the laptop up :doh: but I think it saved my back from who knows what.

Ian, I feel ya on being bikeless, been that way for about a year or so now. well, I still have my track bike but haven't been able to make it out for a track day either in a while...Glad you made it out in decent condition, scrub those wounds man so they heal correctly!

Well, could have been worse. I've had 3 low speed crashes over the years, all under 25mph by the time I went down. I've gotten hurt worse on the skateboard, and falling off the tailgate of a stationwagon. I'm glad you're ok. I got liability and comprehensive on the 250 ninja since it's only worth less than $2k. And it's not like I'm going to foul up my good driving record reporting an accident...even though it's only $30 more every 6 months. Of course my ZX-10 is full covg.

Get well soon, and I'm glad you're ok. Remeber it's just a bike. I always got really depressed when I crashed. I just told myself the bike wasn't getting any newer.
