Can't believe I was #30 on the list but had to drop out because I have a wedding to attend on the 1st. 135 is a lot of people, 67.5 people on the track at the same time is an accident waiting to happen.

Does anyone want my spot (those on the waiting list). I changed my mind and decided not to go. That way I'll just sell my spot to one of you guys instead of me just dropping out and having the next person on the list get it. E-mail me at jeffreylin19@hotmail.com or aim me... otherwise I'm just gonna drop the spot cuz I wont have enough $$.

Hey All,

We have also reserved Sunday 5/2 for people that can't make it into the roster for Saturday. SCS'ers pay $135 for this day, or if your staying over for the second day it's just $100, which includes instruction and lunch.

There will be about 65 riders on Saturday (60 riders plus the admins), and 60 on Sunday. This DOES work well if run right. Remember that with 2-group format, those 30 people (assuming everyone rides every session) have 11,616 linear feet, which means when spread out correct (we start our groups in waves), each rider has 387' of track to themselves. You want to see crowded, try a track day at Brands Hatch with 250 riders. Now THAT is crazy.

I've been to track days myself (before I started running them) where we were all clumped up in one big train...and everyone's frustrated, but there's a mile of open track. Like watching little kids play soccer...there's one big group wherever the ball is, you know?

ALSO...we allow inside passing in BOTH advanced and intermediate groups, with the 6' buffer rule STRICTLY enforced since an unsafe inside pass is much more dangerous than an outside pass. But...this allows even intermediates not to be stuck behind someone who keeps hugging the outside in turns, as you can get past them as they take the outside line.

As you all know, if someone takes an outside line, they're less likely to tighten their line dramatically midcorner, making your inside pass much safer. The difference is that you intermediates making slower passes can't slam apexes since on the exit of the turn you may take away the outside rider's exit space. But we cover all that in the rider's meeting.

And remember...one of the good things about riding with us (at least in MY opinion) is that we have a pretty strict "no jackass squids" policy. We expect riders to conduct themselves with courtesy and diplomacy ON the track and we'd rather take one guy "behind the woodshed" than have 60 people pissed off. But with this tone set early in the day, we've had a great success with people riding safely. In fact, out of 37 events I've run, only ONE person was ever sent home. So it's very uncommon where someone just won't get with the program.

This allows YOU guys to really work on your form/controls/lines, and spend time with our professional instructional staff, having the peace of mind that others have the same frame-of-mind.

Anyhow, one thing to mention is that STT is membership based to keep prices down, and non-SCS members do pay the annual $25 fee to ride with us. (You get a T-shirt and some large discounts, btw). So if you guys from Hypercycles want to attend, you need to register at SCS and get in on the 5/2 date. Again, $135 for one day or $100 if this is Day Two after riding 5/1 also. I'll be posting a PDF signup form on the SCS site soon.
