Oh......my........god. Feel bad for his family. 50 year old guy flew off the 8 and into D&B. They show a pic of where he impacted on the restaraunt. No gory pics, thank God.

They show a picture of his helmet under the images link. They also show where his helmet slammed into the wall of the restaurant. Like I said, not gory, but scary.

Yeah I think he was wearing a brain bucket and it probably flew off. R.I.P to the rider though.

He did have a full-face helmet. He could have had 4 helmets on and he'd still be dead.

Yeah...looks like somebody on the SV board confused this and a report about a rider in Mira Mesa who died without a lid.

I don't believe that he just "lost control". You have to figure the guy was 50, so he probablly has a few years experience. And he would have to be going very fast to make the exit come into play...I don't know from experience, but that exit could be taken at a very high rate of speed.

My CHP buddy was one of the guys who was at the scene. The guy took the interchange too fast. They say he high sided and...
(what's coming up nest is not for those that are squeemish)
...and his arm ripped off from the retaining wall/guard rail. He slammed into D&B, left a stain while his arm soon followed. The unfortunate individual was still breathing for ten minutes when the first officer arrived to the scene before he soon expired.
It turns out that his buddy that owned the Buell wasn't going to be getting much money from insurance and two days later reported the bike stolen.
Ride within your means.
That's all I have to say because I know all of you are capable and safe.
Enough of me. I'm just an old/OG member who wants to make sure you all are safe.
