Racers get about $100 off tires trackside.. bring tire costs down to about $350+tax /set, but that is if you pay the yearly membership dues to the racing club u are in, etc...

Sometimes they sell older model tires at around $279 or something like that.. pretty good deals.

Sean, I'm sure you can pass and get your racing license at WSMC. I'd say GO FOR IT!! I'll definately be there with u if.. no when you decide to go!

Well I want to go to big track first....I dont like fast sweepers and like...um...breathing....so not sure if I can muster up the courage.

But yeah I agree on making it a club event...sounds good!

Can't knock it unless you try it. Do a track day at the Big track at least once.

FYI: Former WSMC Operations Manager has "retired" and the link for the www.race-wsmc.com is temporarily being redirected to the main WillowSpringsRaceway.com website. One of the club racers has since "Cloned" the original WSMC site to retain the club information and news. This can be found at the following link: http://www.commline.com/WSMC/

Below is transcript of the latest regarding the WSMC website by Brian Hess (WSMC Racer)

Date: Thu, 1 Jan 2004 15:13:57 -0800 (PST)
From: Brian Heess
Subject: cloning the WSMC website

Hey guys!

Just thought I'd let you all know that I've cloned the WSMC website
since it
could disappear at anytime. I've done it with our hero Kenny's
blessing.

http://www.commline.com/WSMC/

I'm putting "important" links right on that page. Let me know if
something's
important and I will put a link there.

Cheers!

-Brian

I thought about getting the big 1K for a while.. but changed my mind, thinking a 600 would be more fun.

^_^ I was like that for a while.. but then I didn't get as much tracktime as I would have liked and noticed that my instincts and riding skills go bad mighty quick when I'm off the saddle for long periods of time. I think I should get a dirt bike sometime soon.. perhaps that XR50?!@#??
