I laid my R6 down a couple of weeks ago. I'm itching to ride and all I can do to get a fix is to write about riding. Surfing helps, except that the waves are small in our lovely Lake Pacific right now.

On ramps are pretty standard, even the cloverleaf. So when I went into the corner, I didn't think much of it. I leaned in like I usually do on Miramar from UTC onto 805N. This time, it was different. I must've hit a slick spot or something. I didn't even know I was falling until my shoulder grazed against the pavement. Next thing I knew, I was in the dirt, sliding. After I stopped, I realized what happened.

"I don't believe I just fell", I thought to myself. I realized that I didn't do a quick check on myself before I got up. "Bad Ide.. wait... I'm ok." I pat myself down to make sure that everything was where it was supposed to be. "Wait! What was that!?! I skinned my knee!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!!" It wasn't quite that dramatic. I skinned my knee and my back felt better than it did before the spill.

I walked towards the glow of my headlights in the brush. Picked up my bike and started to push it out of the dirt.

"Dude! I don't belive you just waked away from that! That looked so gnarly!" So the dude helped me push my bike and after he knew that I was alright, he left.

I called a friend for a ride. And he was on his way. While I was waiting I decided to go find the parts that fell off. Miraculously, I found my gauges and my left mirror as easily as if I knew where they were. What luck!

Then I heard a CRASH!!!! What the... Did someone else bail? When I turned around, I saw that some plastic patio furniture had fallen off of a passing car, delivering them to me. They stopped about 20 feet from where I was standing. I picked up a couple of them and brought them next to my bike so that I can chill while I was waiting for my ride.

So there I was, on Miramar Road, chillin on a patio chair, next to a banged up bike. I couldn't help but to chuckle at that whole scene. This is as surreal as it gets.

My friend was a bit surprised when he picked me up. For some strange reason, it felt like this was supposed to happed the way it happened. I think someone is looking out for me.

Hey Janice,

I can take full credit for this spill. It would be easier on my ego had there been another driver around.

I'll be up and running soon.

Until then, please take a corner for me.

Thanks!
