What you liked what you disliked?
Tell us the conditions, ambient temp, windy, raining?
What bike were running?
Tires?
What turns were your favorite?
What turns could you not get in the groove?
What organization was it with?
How were the sessions run?
Would you recommend doing it again?

first of its SluttonWillow.....

Second..LONGER DRIVE TO GET THERE..but I think its worth it....

Conditions..HOT dam HOT..with alittle of HOT on the side...I think most people lost some pounds in this track day....

running mistress (I)

Metzeler Rennesports RS1/RS2 combo..supersized:-p

Turns here are 2 though 8 are fun....especially the wheelie humpp..i actually grew some balls and opened her up here and my front end would come up...LOST HILL...an off camber blind right hand turn..just aim and pray and you make it......

The BUS STOP for some reason i couldnt grasp..oh wait thats becasue i got stuffed coming out of it....its a lot abrupt than i anticipated....same witht he turn with the decreasing radius before the chicanes..

Both times with Trackdaz...

I believe it was three 20 minute sessions which was good in the heat....30 minutes and you would be beat..

This track is fun..a bit faster than SOW and I liked it...i would recommend this to someone who likes SOW but still doesnt have the balls for the Big Track.:D

i ran this track the same time a carlos with trackdaz.

the conditions were pretty hot and some wind as well but overall it was a nice day to ride.

i was runnign my R6 with rennsport RS1/RS2 combo and the tires ran great until the last session of the day were i had a near highside in turn 4, where i stepped out the rear pretty good and managed to hang on:cool:

like carlos said the track is faster than SOW and i ended up liking it alot. it teaches you to trust your front tire adn the speed you can enter a corner with the large sweeper on the halfway point that can be taken in 4th or 5th gear. it took me awhile to grow the balls to really take this turn at a good pace but by the end of the day i was running out 4ht gear through this turn. another part of the track the took some balls and getting used to was entrence speed into turn one. the front straight is a bit longer than SOW and turn 1 is tighter so i needed to make myself hold good speed into this turn when i wanted to grab a handful of brake.

the track flows very well once you start to pic up the pace and has a very good variety of cornering from tight to wide open adn the wheelie hump rocks:headbang:

the only thing that i actually did not like about the track is the lack of elevation change which makes it hard to have referance points for many of the corners. the land surounding the track was just grass adn mostly flat and there are some points where it is hard to make out where the track is turning ahead which would cause me to brake too early becasue i could not make out where the corner was. after a couple sessions you become familiar with the track and this is not much of a problem but still, it take a little getting used to.

the track has plenty of space and makes passing easier than on streets in my opinion, and it is a bit longer of a track which is kinda cool, bringing in lap times over 2 minutes.

over all i recomend this track for sure and i cant wait to give it another try:clap:

picture 1- exiting the decreasing radius before the shacane section and back straight.

trun 2 is my least favorite turn of the track because it is a tight up hill that is slick and can bring tire spin very easy. this is the turn that gets most people in a high side or lowside. everyone always says just be safe and go slow through turn two.

I'm gonna hold off on really giving an overall view of this track because the only time I've been there was my first trackday ever and my riding abilities were no where near high enough to really push this track. It is a very flowing track however with a much higher average speed that SOW. I would say however that this is still a very technical track and the lines from corner to corner are super important to set up a good lap time. I think that next time I go this track may even bump itself past SOW on my favorite track list because Buttonwillow really suits my riding style perfectly, very technical and flowing with some speed mixed in and a couple very deep braking zones, my favorite! (It's all about braking up the inside of a pack of gixxer 1k's at the end of the front straight...ask pulse!)

hahaha, so i was sitting on the balcony watching shaggy do his session and i was standing next to a group of guys. jason proceeds to pass under acceleration and braking 5, yes 5, liter bikes on the front straight. the dumba55es next to me go on to complain that, " there is that guy on teh R6 again just trying to show off his speed on the front straight, he cant ride though......"

i guess they think an R6 is fast than 5 liter bikes on a straightaway, funniest shiat i have heard. i walked away laughing aloud.

shaggy was movin really well that day for his first track:cool:
