OK OK I know we can go in and manually change this and I will... but... speaking fomr experience... for new members who have never used a message board this is frustrating...

Can we set this thing so that it does not automatically send you an email everytime someone posts a reply to the thread you posted on.... all of a sudden my email gets bombed everytime GPTech opens his mouth :)

I think leaving it on for private messages is not a bad idea... bu for every post!??! Can we just default it to that?

lol,ya that is a stupid option. you could have changed it when you regestered,when it asked you all those yes/no questions.

I'm working on finding a hack that turns it off by default. I'll see what I can do.

Yeah but reading through that stuff is like reading the terms and conditions for software... most click "I agree" and just go with it...

just go to your "user cp",and under "edit options" click no to the email notification option.

hehe, yeah, I don't read all that stuff either... just like when your installing some software, it's "I agreee" and next, next, next and then Finish. voila!
