I recently installed some LED flushmounts. They do not have the capacity for running lights and my blinker rate is 2x faster. I suppose that is o.k., does anyone knows of a way to slow the rate down. I defintely appreciate all the knowledge and advice I have found in the HC community.

yeah you would have to change the relay.

change it to a triton el12 relay, libertek relay for full adjustability, or calculate the resistance your stockers were putting out, and wire in resistors to match and that will return it to stock

I heard there is a heavy duty relay. Is this all I would need, or are there other factors? Would Buymoto be a good place to buy the relay from?

libertek huh?
I had the same problem. You need a set of Libertek relays (about $40) to slow the blinking down. Here's what I did to my R6.

Tony thanks for the idea, seems simple enough. Where did you mount the relays, or do you just tape them inline?

I mounted the relays in the passenger seat, right above the undertail. Zip tied them to the subframe. ;)

would the 2x faster blinkers be a reason for a cop to pull me over. I have the same problem on my undertail w/led's. Is this something i should fix asap?

well you can get pulled over for it, but i doubt you would be.
i wouldnt worry about it, but it really is an easy fix

does relay = resistor?
does any kind of relay work on an electrical line?

no relays need a certain resistance to operate( otherwise they bink fast to show you that you have a bulb out)
so you can add resistors in series before the relay to get it in the effective range.
