Anyone interested in this trade? I have a liquid silver R1 that is in mint condition. Not a scratch on it. It has a full Akrapovic Evolution system, PC3R, BoxR, Hotbodies undertail, seat cowl, attack reverse shifter (can be removed) and tinted V2 windscreen. I'm looking for an '03 6r in mint condition also. I would like a green, silver or black one. You must have the title in hand or be able to pay off and get it before exchange can be made.

Forgot to mention, the bike has about 5800 miles on it and I do have the title in hand.

Indeed I did, and it was bad a$$ :holymoly:. It really makes a huge difference when a person takes care of their toys. I ride my bike alot, and pretty hard, but I try to do the same!

 A L.S hooked up R1 for a '03 636. You know Pete, did you fall and hit your head because that's one hell of a trade!

Yeah, I thought I would make it enticing. Of course, I am going to be pretty picky with the 6r. LIke I said, it has to be mint.

Too bad, Chris-Racerboy doesn't have his black 636 anymore. I know for sure he would gladly take you up on your offer! Well good luck with the trade. I know for a fact you shouldn't/wouldn't/couldn't find a problem tradin with someone!

Look to the back, not to the left and not to the right.

Philo,
Funny thing is I just sold my complete mint silver set of bodywork from my race bike. Of course if you fix it and there is not a scratch anywhere on it...including the frame, wheels, and forks, we can talk.

Wheels are clean. Frame is clean. Forks have a little story to tell on the lower left side. Can't see it when on sidestand, I guess you could see it when it's upright, but only if you're looking for it.

Are you getting new plastics?
Philo

Alright I give up. I plan on repairing the plastics and repainting myself, which I'm sure is a little less than what you're looking for. I was considering getting OEM plastics, but that plus the few other little things it would need to be beautifully stock would negate the CRAZY difference in value. I would have just played on it for a couple months and sold it for an '04 636 anyway, which is kind of taking advantage of your generosity (read: insanity) anyway. :-p
Sigh. I still don't know why your giving away absolute minimum $1000. Good luck, I'm sure you won't need it. :D

Yeah, I would want unrepaired plastics, and good forks.
Why am I doing it? because I'm an idiot?:errf: Actually, I find selling a bike a pain in the ass. I want a 6r. If I sold my bike, I would buy a 6r. Lots of guys like the R1's so I thought it might be easier just to trade. We'll see. No one has come forward with one yet.

I never thought you were an idiot, it's just a really good deal for whoever swaps with you. :) I guess I didn't consider the PITA selling is.
Personally, I'd rather have a 6R than an R1 as well. Plus it would be embarrassing when you passed me like I was tied to a tree, when you're riding a 600 and I'm riding a Literbike. :(
