60 Seconds Between Each Post

I know there has been alot of uncontrolled posting, especially in the off-topic forum. I also understand the strain this can introduce to the server/database. Along those lines, the 60 second interval between posts is annoying, especially since some of us do have a limited amount of time to access this forum, nowadays.

Maybe if there is a concerted effort to reduce post-whore threads, we can switch back to the original interval. This is purely a suggestion as maybe it is only an inconvenience to me and a couple other members Sean.

Honestly, this is not to discourage any type of thread from being created. I simply want the old interval to be reinstituted to allow those with less time to post, to post more. Wait, did that make sense? Yeah, I am a little drunk, but I think my request is in the very least reasonable. So come on Jae or Bod, let us know!

I shortened the post time interval for now... this is going to be on a probational basis. I know you guys sometimes joke around about the "post whoring" thing but just to make one thing absolutely clear, Sean was NOT the reason the post time interval was increased to 60 seconds.

Everyone's been doing pretty good about their posts in general but we have seen a few older and newer members degrade the value of various threads by posting up nonsense after nonsense or playing "post whoring" games and such (you probably know who you are). Moderating these posts have become impossible with a post interval period of less than 60 seconds. People joke about Sean being a "post whore" but he is undeniably one of the more prolific *contributors* in our club providing information and spending a significant amount of his time to help new and existing members with various issues, etc. People joke about it from time to time and Sean has been a good sport about it as well... just keep it fun and please do your bests not to let the jokes get out of hand. We hope our mods keep up the good work and continue to set good examples! :cool:

Thanks Bod for changing it back. I agree that the PWing has gotten out of hand. There is nothing more frustrating than seeing that there is a new post on a thread that you are waiting for a reply on and you go and read it and it has nothing to do with the thread. It is senseless chat! Crap! I tell you CRAP! I am really tired of it. I have talked with other members of this site about this and they completely agree and it bugs the crap out of them as well. Sorry for venting, but I really needed to get this off of my mind. :D

Thanks Bryant! I totally was not referring to Sean at all. To help reduce unnecessary chatter, I have taken it upon myself to post more relevant and thoughtful material to each post and reply.
