I'm selling my 98' YZF600R if anyone is interested. I had a minor lowside a couple months ago on Palomar Mt, but I have since bought all the replacement parts to put her back together to new again. I'm trying to get atleast $3800 obo. She currently has about 13k miles on her and she would make a great beginner bike for anyone looking to get into the sport. Here's a description...

-1998 Blue/white YZF-600R (not the R6) *Clean Title
-13k miles
-Goodridge Stainless Front lines
-EBC HH race sintered pads
-49 teeth rear AFAM sprocket
-Competition Werks footpegs
-Pyramid Solo seat cowl
-Painted front rotors
-Painted rear hugger
-progrip gel grips
-Real Carbon triple tree cover
-Intuitive Frame Sliders
-Sportec M1's under 300 miles on them
-Powdercoated white rims

Let me know if anyone is interested. I'm in the LA area.

PS-The blueflame pipe is no longer on there. It now sports a screaming stock pipe.... :D

It has been a month since the last reply. Is the bike still for sale? I might be interested if it is.

Here are the updates. The bike is still for sale. Currently the only missing part I have on the bike is the windscreen that would normall cost about $60 from LP or about $30 from ebay.

I've always loved riding, so all the cosmetic damages never really bothered me so. All I needed was a safe operating vehicle and I was good to go. If you're looking for a great bike that is comfortable, forgiving, yet capable of carving it up in the twisties, then this is the perfect bike. I just fitted the right side fairing with a 03' fairing w/ slight rash on it due to it being a used part. The original one was cracked, hence the replacement. *The graphics on the 03' fairing doesn't match with the gas tank graphics. Stock pipe is fitted with a new exhaust gasket as well. I just did an oil change last night, and she is running superb. The right side frame slider has been grinded down, but could possible save another crash. Everything is great. Bike is not in perfect cosmetic condition, (though very minor, I want to be as honest as can be.) however, it runs perfectly fine.

I will try to get some more updated pictures up this weekend.

Hey Tony,

Is there anyway you post up some upclose pics of the scratches and stuff? If my friend is down for the bike (which is look'n good right now) i want her to see exactly what's up. Thanx.

no prob... I currently have both fairings off the bike since I just did a routine oil change yesterday. Carbs have just been synced, and I'll also throw in the factory service manual. I'll take a pic of the scratches when I get back. Hope you don't mind that they're not on the bike. The scratches are pretty minor and in no way affect the bike. Thanks for the interest. ;)

PS- sorry, I forgot to add that there are no mirrors on the bike as well. I originally had a set of LP mirrors on there, but they broke off during the lowside. If I remember correctly, I purchased them for no more than $50. I will miss this bike... she taught me how to drag my knee.

What is the latest on the bike? BTW, didn't the right side fairing always hit your knee when you put your foot down? I sat on a 2000 YZF600 for the first time yesterday and I thought it was odd how the fairing juts out so far. Seemed like a design flaw to me. Is there any way to address this, other than taking off the bodywork.
