Just got the R6 jetted

I just got my R6 jetted and now it pulls hard and goes insane at the top end . . . the only thing is that I noticed that it runs 10 to 15 deg. hotter . . . is that normal?

its normal; if by normal you mean running too lean

Is it running hotter because your going WOT all the time "testing" your new jet kit???

what kind of kit you get? what mods done to bike? who installed it? sorry, need to do this to my bike soon...

It's a factory jet kit installed to compensate for my Yoshi slip-on. Poway Motorcycles did the install and cost, kit inculded, was around $500.

I may have paid too much . . . they also replaced the plugs and air filter, I don't know if that was standard for a rejetting.

I was warned by a few people that they were going to be expensive but supposedly do great work . . . nothing fell off yet so I guess I'm satisfied . . .

the thing I am bummed about is that the bike didn't get dyno'd :(

going to lee's to get mine done on friday 275 for the jetting 110 for the kit from yamaha. i ahve a oshi slip on also. so i wil be happy to see the flat spot in 2nd get smoothed out. and mine is 49 state less work to do on it

damn i should start installing jet kits. 165 bucks for the install, damn 80 bucks an hour

275 is for the install and tuning alone. another 110 is for the jet kit. I got mine jetted last week. only picked up 2.5hp peak with the factory race kit. but gained a consistent 3hp from 7k and up. wierd thing is that they didnt use the 49 state main jets. they opted for the jets for CA bikes because they sed from experience that it makes more power.
