They are called 'Doo Rags' - I know you can get them at any harley dealership. UnderArmour [ http://www.underarmour.com/ua2/ua/detail.asp?dept_id=7&pf_id=0001&mscssid= ] also makes 'em - but I think it kinda looks like you're wearing briefs on your head.

Yeah, what they said. I used to use thick, cotton head things I bought for $5 from Sport Chalet. I also have one that says Maxit on the tag (much thinner and more elastic).
Lately I have not been wearing one because my helmet fits snuggly as it is.

...unless you're talking about the NASCAR baclava.
I don't want a doo-rag/bandana, those things are for "Biker Boyz" fags.
I'm talking about the backlava type thing.

Midweight at Sierra Trading Post (http://www.sierratradingpost.com/xq/asp/base_no.56028/catImage.False/dept_id.L2~216/qx/product.htm)
well those are midweight so they're probably too thick and hot....plus they don't have a mouth hole. I'm talking about something that auto racers use, made fo something really thin like silk

Yeah, I know... it's a step in the right direction, though. I have seen a few people on rides that have them. Maybe post up at the devil's forum (http://socalsportbikes.com/xmb).

You don't have to get a biker boyz style doo-rag dawg. They make snug form fitting rags as well that fit nice and tight on your head. They don't have the extra hanging junk like the ones mentioned. They also come in different materials, and weave patterns. However, you do have to go to a beauty supply type of store, which won't be found in the most prominent of neighborhoods. Before I started wearing bandanas I would get them from a little beauty shop on El Cajon and Fairmount not far from HOM...if ya wanna spend more bucks underarmour makes them also.
Oh yeah, you're right, Underarmor makes those caps......I totally forgot. Course they probably charge $50 for them......
I guess I could look for skullcaps too, and be a "brutha".....LOL
Ideally though I was lookin for something that covered more than that, so that you don't have to wash your cheek pads so often.

Hi guys!
I noticed your conversation & will try to help out.
I agree that head socks/speed socks are rare & hard to find! Out of frustration of only being able to find them in a dark color, I started making them myself.
I try to use soft, comfortable stretch fabrics in prints that are rare. They are BETTER than a doo rag because there is nothing to tie. Just slip it on your head & pull the tail through the rear opening in the back of the the sox. They fit snug, but comfortable on most people and you will not lose it in the wind.
Check them out at boltheadbands.com. Thanks!

Yup, those are the ones. They're nice, but no pie-hole-hole either, but I don't think I'd actually want one...

You're looking for a balaclava. I use them religiously, they keep the helmet lining nice and clean. They're machine-washable, unlike my Arai :nerd:
I bought a couple (they were black spandex-like material, with a cutout for mouth/nose) at Buymoto last year; are those still a stock item? I know GP downtown carries them too.

They aren't a stocking item anymore, but we just got a couple "neck-warmers" in.
We can order some mid-weight fleece balaclavas, and I haven't looked in all the catalogs, but I haven't seen any light-weight or silk items yet.
