So what do you guys think? Is one better than the other?

I think safety wise, the one piece might be a bit better. With the two piece you can always wear the jacket alone for less demanding rides and not walk around like a superhero all the time.;)

I would go with one-piece, just that extra safety factor. Most of us already have the stand-alone jacket, so no need for a two-piece.

Why the hell you asking? You selling your old one? I got first dibs!
Because I am more of a sport-touring type, a 2-piece works very well. I am able to walk into restaurants and just take off my jacket to cool off (during the summer). Worked very well for the Arizona trip... except I did not have vents or perforation... and Phoenix was going through one of their worst heat waves ever when I hit it... in the dead of the afternoon. But that's another story.
If I ever get a track bike, you can be sure I would get a 1-piece.

I was pushing the one-piece because I was assuming this was for the track only :).
