Is there any way to keep the clutch cable taut and still be able to have the disengagement point close to the clip-ons?

everytime I adjust the friction point close to the clip-ons the cable becomes sloppy, just wondering if there is a way?

I have been messing with both adjustments on the clutch perch and the adjustment next to the stator....

yes, you need to adjust it down by the clutch basket. get it to where you want it, then take the slack out from the other end.

i would be more specific, but i dont know where your clutch cables attach to by the basket

if you have already done that which it looks as you have, then you might just need new clutch plates :(

uhhh, I don't think so. If you want it to disengage near the grip (all the way in) then you have to have enough slack in the cable to allow it to move that far before actually actuating the clutch. There is no way to do that without slack in the cable.

but he is saying slop, not just the normal slack that is needed, maybe i misunderstood, but i think he knows that there has to be at least that ammount of slack in the line.. i could be wrong though
