is it possible to do this and does it make that big of a difference on the track? i have a 01 R6. i know it might not be worth the money to convert but i do not want to dump money into my bike for willowsprings and be lacking due to me being CARB.
oh on a side note what is the materials i need to perform well at willowsprings? i mean all parts for the bike i want to know so i can start buying them. engine kit. clutch etc... any input will help thanks.
the reason i am buying a new bike and i want to use this one for the track so i want to dump money into her. and not the new one atleast if i lay the old one down it is paid off and i still have a nice bike to ride you know..

I'd say once you can beat Bryant around the track, then start looking at fuel injection. Carbs don't seem to hold him back much.

get her running good, then get fast. You won't notice the difference between carbs and F.I. until you are quick. Even then there will always be somebody with carbs that is faster then you. That's just how it works.

the yamaha moto gp bike was carbed until this year...
To make a bike track ready all you really need is race fairings and safety wire. Start their and spend your money on tracktime, not the bike.

I think what you need is equipment that makes repairs less costly when you crash -- it's going to happen sooner or later.
Get:
1) Good gear
2) Race/track plastics
3) Rearsets
When you are starting off, there's no upgrades that you can buy that will beat track time.
