Big props to Strobe for letting me steal his shifter joint. I got home a-okay. I'll be sending it back to you on Monday (I'm pretty sure I still have your addy). Thanks to Bryant for letting me borrow his ratchet -- I'm not sure why my new chain was totally loose. Thanks to Ono_gixxer and pasta_fredo for the shade, drinks, sandals so I don't get any blisters on my feet, sandwiches, et cetera. Thanks to TrackDaz for the cool new tire pressure gauge and VHS tape of something-or-the-other (I never win anything! So cool!).

It was a fun day. Weather was not too hot. I'm a bit tired, so I'm going to collapse in my bed after uploading some pictures.

I thought I had 1 good lap but looks like my laptimer was lying to me.....kinda like the time when I pulled a 0:57 at SOW. :D Oh well. I can admit when I am punked. fun time for sure, got my times dwon into consistant 31's trying to chase down the bodMASTER, best session of the day for me, then the tires went to crap. Last set of bridgestones I'll be buying...running race and sport really beat the crap out of me so don't expect to see any video for a week or so until I recover...

Best (real lap) I could do was :33.01. Jason, I only saw you out there once when I rode the sport group. Laptimes dropped off significantly in that group. I also had a real bad scare. Huge tank slapper coming out of 9 (Dustin was right behind me and can attest to it). Finally got it under control, full pin down the straight then sit up for turn 1 and found out I had no brakes. Somehow made it through turn 1. So, after I changed my shorts, cranked up the dampner and it seemed to help. Happened again later in the day but not quite as bad. I just put on a GPR dampner and must say, I don't think it's quite as good as my Scotts. Gonna put in heavier oil and see if it's better. Lots of minor headshakes all day.

man that was soo much fun

well it was my first track day ever, and im still buzzin from it.

now i need another job as i have decided to try to start racing asap.

at the start of the say the tire guys didnt show up and i had to go out on my first seeeion on stock rubber. its wasnt bad, actually i was extremely happy to be running 148s

then i got some 208 gps put on and took the next section kinda easy at first running 144-142, then by the end of the session i was running 137's

the next session, i had gotten used to the tires and i was putting down a consistant 134 but i still have a lot of room to go.

turn one, i own that turn ,... i did lots of passing on the outside and inside of one, what a fun corner.

turn two, i was slow at first, by i made up a lot of time in this corner
three i was good at, nothing special(went in too hot once and blew the exit and shaggy passed me) maybe you can give me some tips because you were right with me and as soon as a fumbled you went by, so ovbiously you were still comfortable there.

, 4 i had problems with and only hit a good line once or twice.

turn 5, i passed over 20 people in this coner, every lap i would take 2 or 3 people here.
but after 3 rear end slides in a row lap after lap on turn 5, i realized that i need to set up my suspenstion a little better, and that a 180-55 is too small of a tire for this bike, im going to get a 520 conversion with a longer chain to run 195-70 slicks or the 190-60 gps

turn 6 was fun, almost wide open and drift out

seven not mush just wide open looking at 8 bars were shaky over the crest ever single lap as the front would loose contact right as the elevation dropped

8 was fun, over 130+ mph probably(taped up) fully draggin, although i still could carry more speed and make up time on here. i usually would end up right behind somebody in 8, then just wait for the stright to pass them, i only passed a few times on 8, one was when i was stuck behind someone and sean squeaked by, so i got in his line and we passed the two people.
im fast in 8 when no one is there, but ireally need to be shown the good passing spots.

turn 9 i was nearly bottoming out my sispension, so i never pushed it here. fun turn, but new springs and i will be able to turn it up a bit

stright away,
i pretty much would pull any bike that was in front of me, then try to brake way way late and stuff people into one.



all in all it was amaising, but i need some guidence. i feel that i could drop a a few more seconds pretty easily if i could smooth out 3-4-5 instead of just making up time on 5-6.

also two and 8 i was progressively getting faster throughout the day, but they are such fast turns and i know that i can take them faster with more practice. 6 and seven i never really had a line, just the result from where 5 left me.

i cant wait to do my next one, im already saving for it. thanks again for everyone being there, it made the butterflys go away knowing that i knew the people out there, and i was getting lots of good tips from various people.

I had a blast out there! Now I understand why they say Big Willow is a HP track, but I did better then I thought I would. All the turns on that track except for turn 4 were so much fun! I just couldn't find a line through 4. I also had a blast getting passed through 7 then real them back in in 8 get a hard drive out of 9 and then be able to stay out front. Shaggy thanx for all of your help! Deno and Pulse you guys rock for helping get my tires back on before that session. Dude HondaRider! Mikey you were cooking! You passed on the back straight and was onto the front straight before I knew what the hell happened! You were looking DOPE!!! Deno Glad to be able to ride with you again! Good times! AWSOME day- it seemed like forever for this day to come, well worth it... the past couple nights, when i close my eyes, all i see are turns, one- setting up two, late on three, easy on four, power down five and around six..... full over seven, passing on eight- flying thru nine, and screaming down the stretch!!! wow-

big ups to the STREET GROUP!! it was tight dukin it out with Marvin, Jeff, Bill, Ed, and Ernest. man, that would've been dope if we got that camera mount going. it wouldve been no prob stayin in front of pink eye-- :-p

my turn to post pics! this first one was last friday at lunch and Jae and Bryant just finished mounting my tires at buymoto. 2 mins later on miramar some fool comes out of a parking lot and doesnt see me and tries to make a left in front of me. I total the side of his neon and mess up the front of the 2004 'frontier' with like 500 miles on it. he gets towed away I try to drive back to work and the hood flies up hits the windshield and I drive up onto a curb. these types of things are spice of life

No worries bro I'm felling a lot better. Just got home from the gym as a matter of fact. I had to get some light excercise. I might end up with some team blue plastics. I got my eye on a mint set on e-bay right now.....gas tank included!
