Lanesharing on the 405 in Los Angeles can end like this! (http://www.robdiesel.com/blog/2003/09/i-wrecked-my-bike-here-are-pictures.html)

Ouch! It seems as though most accidents I hear about involve some woman in a little car changing lanes without looking.

By the looks of your jeans and shoes, it just makes me feel even better about taking the extra time to put on the right gear before going for a ride.

Hope you healed up all right.

I did, thanks.
Uhm. The armored pants came in a couple of days later. They were on order. hehe

Nice tire marks on the front fender.

Looks like the jacket did it's job. And the helmet.

Did the silver/gray Toyota ever stop? Was anyone cited?

These are the things I wonder about once I know everyone's all right (as all right as a burnt foot and ripped apart knee are).

Naw, she disappeared. Kinda weird how after abot an hour when the shock wore off the leg started to stiffen up. I'd gotten a courtesy tow off the #1 lane and was stuck at a gasstation until my GF came with the trailer. Then I only had two tie-downs so I watned to drive because I'd probably lash out at HER if the bike fell offg the trailer.

Driving a stickshift jeep with a trailer with your newly wrecked bike and a f'd up knee is less than fun.

But showering and scrubbin the wounds was like having a blowtorch on the foot and knee. ouch
