What are the advantages or disadvantages of removing the emissions on my bike? If there isnt anything wrong with it how do you do it? I know that the hoses route to the left side of the bike to some sort of electronic valve or sensor. There is a connector on it facing inboard. I have removed the lower part already but not sure, actually kinda scared, to remove the rest of it. Any help wouuld be appreciated.

well, i removed all of my emissions stuff and also cbr619rr without any problems so far. i have probably put on about 5000mi. advantage: it make the bike 4lbs. lighter.... can't tell if its faster though. disadvantage: it would suck if you had to put it back on for some reason, other than that none.

so you took off the whole system? From the tank at the bottom to the valve then to the bottom part of the tank? No probs? I took it off and it doesnt seem to make any difference in power. Thanks for the info....
