I am comin up to Berkeley to visit people sometime soon, and was wondering where you guys would recommend to keep my bike [either overnight or day]? Drove up there a few times and nothing really looked suitable.

I went to school in Berkeley and sorry to tell you but there is pretty much no where safe to park a bike. There are maybe two or three parking structures in town and they are all expensive and shady. Beg your friend for a garage spot if possible or find a way to park it off the street. Lock your forks and put on a disc lock. Good luck.

Hey,

I hope my reply is not too late. My name is Mike and I am one of the founders of Sportriders @ Berkeley. I've graduated, but I still live in the area and we have a gated spot for ya if you need to park it here for a few days. You can contact me at mwu13@berkeley.edu or 510.388.2313. Basically I would not recommend parking on the street overnight. Parking on the street in day time is ok, and there are several moto only parking spots around campus that is convenient. But over night it is basically playing Russian roulette to park your bike on the street, with 3 bullets loaded, know what I'm saying?! Anyway, contact us and the boys at SB will take care of ya.

Mike
