I think it would be accross between Fah and Fuh, depending whether you say tomato or tomato.

The soup in pho is made by boiling/stewing the cow bones for an extended period of time (like days). What with all the current mad cow scare would you say it is safe to eat pho? Just wonderin...

Pho does sound tasty tho...

I wish you I never read that, that really scares me. I think I read somewhere that it was extremely difficult to destroy the actual substance that made up Mad Cow Disease. And that simple boiling will do nothing to it.

It's hard to get Mad Cow....

It's mostly located in the animals nervous system...so unless you're eating cow brain or it's spine you'll have a hard time getting it. That's how it spreads to other cows...they take the leftover parts, grind them up and give them to the other cows. The cow's meat contains trace amounts but usually not enough. Even if you do eat cow brain you'd have to have a way to get it in your bloodstream before your stomach acids break it down. A cut in your mouth or maybe an ulcer would do it. The infected meat from Washington was cataloged in a batch of ground beef that went out before christmas...so it's either all eaten or been recalled (most likely eaten since the recal was too late). Another way it spreads it that sometimes they kill cows with a device that looks like an automatic hammer - a piston knocks into the cows skull and smashes they brain (cute). The resulting splash of brain matter can get on worker and/or other cows. Most cattle farms in the US and Canada do not use this method anymore because (besides the spread of mad cow) the cows have a tendoncy to convulse for a bit afterwards.

With the big scare in England and Europe, they thought 140,000 people would be infected...turns out only around 140 actually did.

Yeah...I did some research on this.

For everyone is going-Fri @ 11:00

Pho Hoa Cali
9170 Mira Mesa Blvd
San Diego CA 92126
(858) 271-8341

In the strip mall on the right corner of Mira Mesa Blvd and Black Mountain Rd if heading west on MM Blvd. There's a B of A, a AutoZone, and a couple of other shops. There is no reservation and like last time, if we have a big group, we're gonna have to wait. So a head count would good!
