Thanks dude. Glad the R6 did not undergo too many changes. Why mess with something that works, right?

I'm digging the black R1....inspiration for perhaps an all black 01...
Do I see rim tape on the black ones?

2005 R6
Let's see here....
1) Inverted Forks... WHEW DOGGIE!!!
2) Bigger Throttle Bodies
3) got rid of that 120/60 series tire and replaced it with the 120/70 like everyone wants to begin with.
4) Revised Brakes....
5) Claiming an extra 3 ponies.
like all of that.... but sadly the price saw an increase :errf: ... no matter.... keeping it real wit hthe side mount exhaust... I do like, that :)

Doh! Yamaha got lazy this year....started playing defense instead of offense. I see no reason to go to an 05 R6 from my 04 and might even be tempted to stray to the 05 ZX-6RR. I have a feeling that Kawasaki will have a considerable HP advantage and a very competitive bike in the agility dept.

yep, i would get the kawi for a 600 for sure,
im sure yamaha just wanted to save the exhaust update for later, to spike sales again after this years fizzles down

they are stiffer.
very long, thick outside diameter, and a shorter smaller inner tube.
compared to having a long thin tube, and a shorter thicker tube, which you dont clamp or hold on to.
basically less flex

What's with the cut-out on the bottom of the R1 side fairings? Is that for the header downpipes? Strange exhaust design, no? Seems like the exhaust should be clean and tucked behind the body. Just my .02

Has anyone ever seen a Termi on anything other than a Duc not including race bikes such as Rossi's Yamaha? I didn't even know they made street production exhausts for companies other than Ducati until I check out http://www.termignoni.it.
