Don't know if this is already mentioned somewhere on the Board.
But for those ladies interested in an excellent way to test ride bikes and on trying to see what it's like to ride on a track
Femmoto is the answer.

Report from another board (http://www.sportbikers.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=10;t=000144).

k, here's a list of the bikes i rode and my thoughts on each.

session 1: ZX10 - this bike was awesome, it had power like i've never experienced and it handled great. i didn't feel like i was working extra hard to throw it back and forth in the turns. my session ended too quickly.

session 2: ZX6 (636) - this bike was just as fun to ride as the previous one, except that it didn't have quite as much power as the 10 for obvious reasons. session too short, again.

session 3: Z1000 - eh i felt uncomfortable on this bike as it's not a "sportbike" in the true form of the word. the handlebars and shape of the tank made me feel lost as to how to lean off the bike. i was told that i looked as if i was handling it as if i'd been riding it for a while, but i didn't feel that way. overall it was a good bike, it had power, i just wasn't comfortable with the seating position.

session 4: Mille RSV - this is the bike i was really looking forward to riding. unfortunately, i was disappointed in it overall. the red button to allow the bike to start was stuck and so the bike wouldn't start. then when it did, i killed it 2-3 times because the engine needs to rev higher than normal to take off. on the track, it handles ok, but the engine reaction is delayed both in accelleration and decelleration. i was forced to down-shift to 1st because i was stuck behind some riders who were walking around some of the corners and the RSV felt like it was going to cut-out in 2nd... then when the session ended and i came in to a stop, i couldn't find neutral, the bike is delayed in lighting the "N". i was bummed that this bike didn't impress me more as it was the 1 bike i was totally amped about riding. oh well.... not like i would have ever purchased one anyway.

session 5: Falco - this was nicer than the RSV, it handled nicely and had good power. i enjoyed this bike more than the RSV, but it wasn't as exciting as riding the ZX10.

5 sessions was all we got to ride, there were 100 women who attended, so in order to give everyone the opportunity to ride several bikes, they had to break us into 4 groups (2 novice groups, 1 intermediate and 1 advanced). i rode in the intermediate and was glad until the last 2 sessions when i kept getting stuck behind some really slow riders. i was passing people in several of the turns and along the straights, and taking the corners at slightly higher speeds than i did last time i was there.

chris took pics and if we can figure out how to get them linked up or posted, we'll do so.

btw: john, my leathers n helmet were the first things i packed... didn't want to take a chance on forgetting em.

i had an excellent time and can't wait to do it again. hopefully some of our female riders here will go with me next year...
